Job Overview

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be reporting to the Recruiting Manager at our mid-sized regional public accounting located in Downtown Chicago. You will be supporting the recruitment process for both our Chicago and Denver offices by assisting to bring in new talent to the firm. This role will be responsible for supporting the Firm’s hiring initiatives, support talent strategies within the public accounting industry by identifying market trends, and supporting the Human Resources team. In this role you will identify top talent, in addition to sourcing, and selecting candidates to move through the hiring process. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience while working with top leaders of our Firm and understanding the Firm’s tax, audit, accounting, and consulting services. We are flexible with this position being hybrid in either our Chicago or Denver office locations or fully remote. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting with fostering relationships with candidates and developing pipelines
  • Identify candidates to screen with various recruiting platforms, such as LinkedIn, referrals, and industry events
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews via phone, on-campus, virtual, or in-office
  • Assist Marketing to support social media brand through pictures and advertisements of events and recruiting efforts
  • Research trends for candidates within a public accounting firm
  • Collaborate to execute internal events for both HR and Marketing (in-person and virtual)
  • Assist campus recruiter with intern recruiting and attending career fairs and intern recruiting process
  • Identify opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency
  • Facilitate and improve team performance and efficiencies by tracking and monitoring recruiting activities to provide metrics and insights to our business partners
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal hiring managers, such as Managing Partner, Head of Tax, and Head of Audit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 1 or more years of recruiting experience preferably sourcing tax and audit candidates
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • High energy, attitude and enthusiasm
  • Confidentiality in regard to HR and candidates’ personal details
  • Ability to travel up to 5% for campus recruiting events and industry events
  • Flexibility and capacity to thrive in change
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems is a plus

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is preferred
  • LinkedIn Recruiter experience and conducting Boolean searches 
  • Experience with Greenhouse applicant tracking system
  • Prior staffing agency experience 
  • Prior inside sales experience
