About Topel Forman
Getting to spend time together as a team outside of work and make a difference in our community is such an awarding experience.
Balance is one of Topel Forman’s core values. Our firm was built on the importance of ensuring a work/life balance and that our communities are places to live and work through our charitable endeavors. We recognize the importance of corporate citizenship and have adopted several practices that mirror this commitment.
This firmwide program encourages employees to volunteer their time by participating in charitable activities (firm organized or otherwise) during regular work hours. Employees receive eight hours a year to “give back” to the community to participate in activities such as:
- Preparing and serving lunches for the patients and families of Ronald McDonald House in Chicago
- Hosting a back to school event for the children at the Shriners Hospital for Children
- Sorting food at the anti-hunger organization Metro Caring in Denver
- Planting vegetables for the Denver Green School Community Farm
In addition to the volunteer activities discussed above, the firm sponsor a monthly giving program. Our employees recommend charities for the firm to support, and based on these recommendations, the entire firm selects twelve charities for the year (one for each month) to receive money collected or directly paid to the charity along with a firm match. Charities include Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Autism Speaks, American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, House of the Good Sheppard, Anthony Rizzo Foundation, Greater Chicago Food Depository, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Dreams for Kids, Paws Chicago, JDRF, and more.
