John began his career with Topel Forman immediately after graduating from Northern Illinois University in 1980. John served as Managing Partner from 2013 through the end of 2020. During his time at the firm, he has enjoyed working on large audit and tax clients in several industries.

Areas of specialization include real estate development, manufacturers, distributors, registered investment advisors, auto dealerships, start-up technology companies, and personal service companies such as law firms and private equity groups.

John is an avid Chicago sports fan – especially the Bears and the Cubs. His passion for golf is renowned, but his ability to score is lacking! He loves spending time with his family, traveling to New Buffalo, Michigan during the summer months, and Ft. Myers, Florida, during the winter.
